In Scandinavia and Italy, Saint Lucy and her Feast Day is celebrated on the 13th of December. The virgin martyr Sankta Lucia, according to legend, wanted to keep her hands free to carry as much food as she could to those in need, and so she wore a wreath of candles around her head to light the way. Like all midwinter tales, her story represents courage and generosity in the darkness, and celebrates the return of the light. Her feast day is tied to the folk tradition of the Lussinatta, which falls on the same day, when a female witch spirit, Lussi, is said to ride through the air with her followers, entering homes at will.

Burn this candle for courage and fortitude throughout the winter, purity and purification, gratitude and thankfulness, and connecting to the heavenly realms/higher self.

A soft and angelic essential oil blend of rose, lavender, eucalyptus, and gentle winter firs and pine. The first snow and the winter dawn. Flowers brought in from the cold. Cashmere and satin.

Topped with a "wreath" of gold, green, and pearly mica, rose petals and leaves. Vegan and cruelty-free. Burns for approximately 40+ hours.
